Tracy Alloway

Tracy Packiam Alloway, PhD is the Director of the Center for Memory and Learning in the Lifespan at the University of Stirling, UK and the world’s leading expert on Working Memory. She has authored over 75 scientific articles on the topic, many of which are the standard reference articles in her field. She is the author of several academic books about Working Memory, including Working Memory. (London: Sage Publication, 2010) and Training Your Brain For Dummies (London: John Wiley & Sons, 2010). She created the world’s first standardized Working Memory tests for educators. She also writes a weekly blog, www.tracyalloway.com, that relates Working Memory to topics in pop culture, such as how Michael Jackson’s drug use may have impaired his Working Memory and led to his fatal overdose. Her work has been featured everywhere from the BBC and The Guardian, to ABC News, The Huffington Post, Salon and The Washington Post.
