Vicky Allan grew up on a farm on the Scottish borders. She studied to be a vet at Cambridge before winning the Vogue Talent contest. She has an MA in History of Art from the Courtauld Institute, worked on ‘The Times’ and ‘Sight and Sound’ and is currently Commissioning Editor on ‘Scotland on Sunday’s’ magazine ‘Spectrum’ in Edinburgh.
