Daniel Birnbaum is one of the world’s most prominent art curators and is currently director of Acute Art in London. He contributes regularly to numerous British and American art magazines including Artforum. Dr. B. is his first work of fiction.

Scott Blackwood is the author of two previous books of fiction, In the Shadow of Our House and We Agreed to Meet Just Here, and the recipient of a Whiting Writers’ Award. He’s also the author of The Rise and Fall of Paramount Records, a book of narrative nonfiction. A long-time resident of Austin, Texas, Blackwood now lives in Chicago and teaches fiction writing in the MFA program at Southern Illinois University.

Andrew Bridgeford is a lawyer and historian who has been published in the Journal of Medieval History. This is his first book.

Philipp Blom is a journalist, translator, novelist and historian. He has previously translated Geert Mak’s history of Amsterdam and is the author ‘To Have and To Hold’, a history of collectors and collecting. He writes regularly for the TLS and Daily Telegraph. He lives in Paris with his wife.

Thomas Blaikie is a writer and English teacher. He reviews for the ‘Spectator’ and the ‘Yorkshire Post’.

Rob Brydon is one of the most talented comic writers & actors of his generation. He has written and starred in two award-winning series of MARION & GEOFF, in the acclaimed series HUMAN REMAINS, the 90-minute comedy drama CRUISE OF THE GODS and the popular ITV series DIRECTOR’S COMMENTARY. Future projects include a new sit-com with David Walliams (LITTLE BRITAIN). Rob Brydon also runs a production company with Steve Coogan.

Pierre Bayard is a professor of literature at the University of Paris.

Paul Bogard, PhD., is a widely published author of journalism, creative nonfiction, scholarship and is the editor of Let There Be Night: Testimony on Behalf of the Dark. He has also presented on darkness and light pollution at conferences, universities, nature centres, national parks, bookstores and churches. He studied Literature and Environment at the University of Nevada, and now teaches writing at Wake Forest University in North Carolina.
