Barney Hoskyns

Rock historian Barney Hoskyns is an author and has written about music and pop culture for numerous publications including NME, The Times, Guardian, Vogue and Mojo, of which he was Associate Editor. He is the author of numerous books on music, including Montgomery Clift: Beautiful Loser (1992), Across The Great Divide: the Band & America (1993), Hotel California: Singer-songwriters and Cocaine Cowboys, and one novel, The Lonely Planet Boy: a Pop Romance (1995).Waiting For The Sun: Strange Days, Weird Scenes & The Sound Of Los Angeles (1996) was nominated for a Ralph J. Gleason award in the US. He lives in London.
