• Apr 23, 2016 • Tags: , ,

There’s been some speculation about when exactly the 400th Anniversary of Shakespeare’s death is, but we are probably certain that today is the day. In celebration, HarperCollins have pulled together a veritable HUB in homage to the Bard.

If you have a click here, you can have a look at the array of Shakespeare books that HarperCollins publish, including our very own glorious Pop Sonnets by Erik Didriksen. Example below (do you think you could guess the song before checking the answer?):

You can have a look at just why Shakespeare is so popular, you can check out our Bard-themed word of the day, and you could win two tickets to a play of your choice from the Wonder Season at the historical Globe Theatre, two additional tickets to an event of your choice from the 1616: A momentous year programme at the Globe Theatre and a three course pre-theatre dining experience at the beautiful Swan Restaurant for two. Plus, a HarperCollins Shakespeare book bundle! A perfect prize for a fan of Shakespeare!

Last (but by no means least) Edward Wilson-Lee, author of the astonishing Shakespeare in Swahililand: Adventures with the Ever-Living Poet answers our questions, telling us everything we didn’t know about the Bard in six handy bite-sized videos.

WARNING: There is also an addictive Shakespeare quiz.
