Lit-SalonThis spring we’re launching our very own literary salon at The Book Club, to challenge, inspire and entertain through a series of regular events showcasing some of today’s best writing talent.

With such a stellar cast of authors, from the record-breaking, award-winning Hilary Mantel to American literary legends Jonathan Franzen and Jeffrey Eugenides to voices of a generation such as Lena Dunham and Hadley Freeman the 4th Estate salon will bring together great minds and great conversation for a night of live literary debate.

INAUGURAL EVENT: Hadley Freeman, Rebecca Nicholson & The Vagenda

Come and hear Guardian columnist and all-round good egg Hadley Freeman in conversation with The Vagenda founders Holly Baxter and Rhiannon Lucy Cosslett for a night of lively debate.

Never shy of a bit of controversy, they will be discussing feminism, fashion and the facts of life, chaired by fellow commentator and Guardian columnist Rebecca Nicholson.

The salon will take place on 30th April at The Book Club, 100 Leonard Street, London. Doors open at 7pm for 7.30pm start and the event will run until around 10pm. There will be an interval for drinks and the discussion will be followed by a q&a plus a chance to meet and mingle with the speakers afterwards. Tickets cost £8 per person and are available here.
